The price of admission for gamers to the next gen is 300 for the 360 and 500 for the ps3. So yes its a 200 dollar difference to enter into the next gen consoles. MS makes it a less painful transition. Truth is you have to see my points. Even if you don't want to verbalize it. My point is you can buy the next gen Madden on both systems...300 for the MS and 500 for the Sony brand and play next gen football now. Thats my point.

There are 89 million ps2 owners who did not buy their Grand Tourismo 3 game. Thats their best selling game BY FAR. And my point is made clearer. Not that 360 is better. That 360 is in a better position this time than Sony. We won't know who is better and we may never know. Both systems I would suppose will have must have games at one point or another. It should be interesting to say the least.
So the millions of people who like those games have a decision to make. And its a 200 dollar difference decision. Thats where my disappointment with Sony is. They are so into pushing their self created format with blu ray that they slapped millions of budget gamers in the face. Sure they gave the sony hard cores something to brag about. peak performance and blu ray. But what about the bulk of their support?
Ps2's top selling games EVER. In order. Take a look at many of the 3rd party games that at one time came to sony first and now the roles have reversed and now they come to the 360 first or at the same time. And you can see what I'm saying.

Xbox 1 first gen games like HALO blew away 2nd gen games on the ps2 in every aspect of the word. Graphically, gameplay, ect.... There wan't even a question or a doubt.
